Weather and relief of the area shape an almost desert landscape, with a green valley full of orange and lemon trees around the river, and vegetable plots and olive trees, around the streams and tributaries. In the low and medium elevations it is easy to find almond trees, while in the highest elevations scrubland and ancient olive trees are found in the gullies.

There are not many trees, except for the ones in Sierra de la Murta, the only forest area of the municipality with aleppo pines and myrtus (Murta is the Spanish word for myrtus, that is why the mountain range is called like that).

The rest of the area is full of mediterranean bushes that can be found together with aromatic herbs if it rains enough to let them grow, increasing the biodiversity of the zone.
